Student Board

The Student Board is a critical group of students who are committed to keeping you at the center of Operations. The average time commitment per position is approximately 15 hours per week. If you are interested in learning more and possibly becoming a board member one day please reach out and a member will be happy to talk to you about their position and how you can get involved and apply. 

• Director of Volunteer Management
  • Ensure volunteer listservs are up-to-date, manage all communications with volunteers, and ensure volunteer coverage for open-hours events, marketing, pantry events, and any other initiatives requiring volunteer participation. Ensure clear and timely communication with volunteers regarding training, onboarding, and volunteering. Maintain volunteer database with hours
• Director of Pantry Operations - Medical Center
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with Columbia Dining, Driscoll Foods, and other food vendors, manage ordering processing for both primary sources of food (SYSCO and Driscoll Foods) to sustain pantry location)
• Director of Delivery Management
  • Make sure pantry items and fresh produce move smoothly between sites. You’ll coordinate delivery schedules and staffing, oversee packing and receipt of items, help ensure site readiness for disbursements, and track delivery activity in PantrySoft for reporting. You’ll communicate quickly about changes/issues and work closely with the Board and the Associate Director of Food Pantry Operations.
