How to Donate

The Food Pantry gladly accepts all non-expired and unopened non-perishable food items. If you would like to donate, please visit one of our pantry locations during our weekly open hours.

For your convenience, our locations have a donation dropbox immediately in front of the location or accept non-perishable donations during open hours. The following are some of the items recipients request most often:

  • Dry Cereal
  • 100% Juice (any variety)
  • Canned Beans
  • Lentils
  • Rice
  • Canned Vegetables
  • Canned Fruits
  • Instant Oatmeal
  • Pasta
  • Peanut Butter
  • Soup
  • Canned Meats
  • Shelf-Stable Milk
  • Pasta Sauce
  • Unopened hygiene products

We thank you for your generosity, especially during this unique and trying period. All monetary donations are tax-deductible. At this time, we are only able to accept checks, money orders, cashiers checks, and cash. For all non-currency donations, please ensure the following:

The check, money order, or cashiers check is made out to The Trustees of Columbia University with Food Pantry in the memo line.
